Don't know if there are any other Replacements fans out there, but I'll make this post any way. The Replacements first four albums orignally released on Twin/Tone have been re-released, remastered and expanded.

Imho the Replacements were and still should be considered one of the greatest American rock and roll bands ever. Living in the Midwest made it easy to see their development as they were from Minneapolis and came though every tour and playing in a band which got to play support for many such indie (at the time) bands makes my connection a bit more personal. Nonetheless, these first four albums originally release on vinyl on the legendary Twin/Tone label do a great job of laying down a soundtrack for those of us who went from adolescence to adulthood in Reagan's America. And "Let It Be' is without doubt one of the greatest records ever made. Buy 'em, download em' and crank these mothers up!!

Thanks for that, Skip. Nothing like making a guy younger than you feel older! face4.gif I guess its just your brother and me! The expanded track are sweet but I can see why many of them were left off the original albums.

love the Minni-apple punk new wave rockers .....You were the one who got me hooked on them, as you were the who introduced me to so much new music .... if it wasnt for you I would've been limmited to Cheap Trick , the Cars , The Police , etc. .... You always had some new and interesting stuff to listen to ......... was it because you were always into the music scene as an insider ??? ...didnt your band open up for the Replacements ???????
