Below is pic of a female hummingbird I caught the other day.  Every summer at least one gets caught in my shop.  They get attracted to the ceiling lights and cant figure how to get out..  I just wait till they tire out and then catch them.  I then have to stick their beak in the feeder so they can get all "juiced up" again and then they fly away.  It is a Ruby throated hummingbird.

The wife is carzy about hummingbirds.  We go through gallons of nectar a year.  She has H-bird stuff all through tthe house.   Its pretty cool when a bunch of them get around the feeder and are buzzin around.  We go through gallons of nectar a year feeding them.

That is too cool.:D  My wife has recently caught the bird bug. Seems like in addition to feeding birds we need to battle squirrels!!

Hummingbirds are simply amazing!ThumbsUp02.gif

We've got a hummingbird feeder just out our front window, fun to watch. Boy, those little things can be vicious!

Also have bunch of bird feeders in the back yard, fun to watch, see if we've got any new visitors. My wife also feeds the local chipmunk (she's named him Nascar, because of his stripes) and squirrels of course. We also had a bear reach over our fence to pull the pole holding the feeders closer, one of the filials got caught in the fence and it stayed bent over until I came out the next morning and freed it. Kind of funny actually.
