I'm kinda hoping that Bob Stoops is the Tressell of bowl games...1st time Oklahoma and Florida have played to my knowledge...interesting that Stoops was hired from Florida after spending years as Spurrier's Defensive Coordinator there!

FOUND IT!!!

Official Terry Porter, 2003, Miami-Ohio State
Miami was leading 24-17 in the first OT and Buckeyes quarterback Craig Krenzel threw a last-chance pass to Chris Gamble on 4th and three which fell incomplete. Three seconds later, a yellow hankie appeared on the ground. Official Terry Porter flagged the 'Canes for pass interference. Instant replay showed DB Glenn Sharpe having contact with Gamble in the end zone only after Gamble's hand touched the ball, and there was minimal contact at the line of scrimmage. If 'The Call' hadn't been made, the 'Canes would be proud owners of that crystal trophy, but instead, the Buckeyes scored and eventually won in double overtime.

Born and raised in Ohio and living in Columbus for the last 28 years I have only one thing to say about that....

snoopy1.gifparty.gifsnoopy1.gifparty.gifsnoopy1.gif

YIPPEEE!!!!!

The only thing that could have been better than last nights loss is if it was for the national championship....but beggars can't be choosers  goofygoofy

It amazes me year after year that a team that plays one of the easiest schedules for a Div 1 team can continue to even have a shot at a National Championship and be soooooo outclassed by far superior teams from far superior conferences....it is a total joke.

Now I'm sure we will here from the Buckeye fans that the game was close last night....and there were bad calls and penalties....the only way they can compete with a superior team is to "cheat" in other words penalties, just like they cheated to beat Miami a few years ago in a game they had no business being in.

So if you haven't  guessed I don't like OSU...if you ask who I do like I would say whoever is playing OSU!!!!

Well, I'm a little nervous about the Big One...the Big 12 is coming on strong and regaining the prominence it was had as the extremely powerful and tough Big 8 Conference.  I believe Florida has the weapons to do the job, I only hope all the firing pins are in!!!

Texas and Utah will dispute that claim with justification, Tony. And Ohio State came within 1/2" and 16 seconds of upsetting Texas, for all youse guys' bashing. I say, "just wait til next year!"

I think you're right to be a little nervous, Ken. After several years of postseason failure and the Boise State blunder, I can't believe Stoops is going to let his team show up not ready to play. (Of course, I thought the same thing about last year's game against WV.)
