My father is a pipe organ builder. I've been playing for 43 years. started at age 4. Mostly classical, but also dave brubeck and some ragtime. Its a great stress reliever and its how I scored my wife. Women go for that romantic music crap when you play it live for them:D of course Sir Elton played rock music and got a man. eeeeewwww!

That is great, a pipe organ builder, I watched a show on them and the ones in the Mormons have in Salt Lake City.  That takes real craftsmanship, furniture building taken to the extreme.

In my fathers lifetime, he's built 10 organs, all done at the house, then installed at the churches. For the past 9 mos. he's been working on the Washington Cathedral. Every part is made by hand. the console takes years to make by itself. the only advancements made on organs was introducing fiber-optics instead of wire plus circuit boards. Those inovations were done by Richard Hoton who designed the boards and optics when they 1st came out by solid state logic ltd.from the uk.All done at my parents house. It was very interesting growing up there. I spent some of my spare time putting boards together to be sent to detroit to be stamp soldered.

antonio vivaldi. sure. Bach transcribed 5 opus no.3 concertos on a theme from vivaldi.he also wrote chamber music and came up with the 3 movement theme of fast 1st movement, slow or adagio cantabile 2nd movement and fast 3rd movement. all the ingrediants for piano competitions. most composers followed that formula. Even scott joplin when he wrote the Bethina waltz.
