Most of the forum members have chosen to go with mesh bracelets. I took a more period look of the 1950's by choosing Fixo-Flex, yes these are same wrist hair pulling stretch bracelets. That were found on vintage watches... Enjoy the photo. Attachment: 1950 Candino.jpeg.jpg (Downloaded 95 times)

Yup, I had a Swatch centuries ago that was on this type of band. They're ok and easy to wear but not too friendly at the pool....mine slipped off my wrist.;)

I have yet to loose a watch while swimming. Probably because of the fact, I'm not that good a swimmer.

That's funny, Simon. When my dad gave me his '56 Relide it was on just such a bracelet which he took some pride in... You're right... they are hair pullers!;)

I cheapened-out by spending $14 on a Fix-Flex. I had it adjusted properly to avoid hair pulling. No,wonder then that everyone chosen to go mesh for comfort. Moral of this situation: I've sacrificed comfort in order to stand out from the crowd. Cheers, Simon

These flexable bands were all the rage back in the sixties, I had a few usually on a nice cheap Timex.

I had bought my Gruen Curvex many years ago with a gold filled Speidel Twisto-flex. I guess that's what had lead me to this path. Cheers, Simon Last edited on Wed Sep 16th, 2009 01:39 am by Simon_Leung |
