Hey Donald... sorry to hear that. Check the icons on the sidebar to the left - Watchprince and Don Ginsler both have great straps and Watchprince has replacement spring bars and tools as well.... hand6.gif

Dont know if this helps or not.. but... 1.Lever located inside watchstrap. 2.Insert tip of spring bar tool between slots on lever. 3.Release strap by pushing lever in towards strap, then release. Be careful not to lose the pin. 4.Replace strap by inserting one end of lever into hole. Using tool to hold the lever, press lever into opposite hole.

I think he's trying to get one out of a bracelet.Sometimes a flat blade works better. I always use one when putting one back on.

I have 3 sizes of the fancy tools. Half the time they don't catch, or they screw up a nice strap. Screwdrivers rule!

I use both mini-screwdrivers and/or a Swiss Knife flat blade.....................never seen one o' them thar fancy tool things! face4.gif

And if the spring in the pin is stuck, I use a pair of needle nose cutters and clip that sucker. Screw the pins I say!hand6.gif

I use the "fancy" tool. A Bergeon. Cost $25, and worth every cent. Lonestarwatches.com sells them. Don't buy immitations. They break. I've got two of the POS's. The small end of the Bergeon is especially good on bracelets. And, you can reverse the small end to a straight end for cases with lug holes. There also is a black plastic tool I have that works ok and costs about $10. If you are dealing with an cheap OEM spring bar with no flange (spelling?) they are sometimes impossible to grab on to. As suggested above, just cut the sucker out and install a new (better) spring bar. Attachment: spring.jpg (Downloaded 52 times)
