The price went down a bit with the 9015 Miyota mvt instead of the 2824-2 ETA... 785$. Not in my gun-sight at all... I wait for the 6000m from Helberg. I don´t need a Viking watch: I read the sun and the stars when I´m plundering the coast of England... ![]() http://www.tempestwatches.com/watches/18-viking-black.html

No, I do remember the post. I think the guy, Ben? deserves credit that he got the piece off the ground and made; on his own, sans pre-order $$ etc. and finished product. We all know most of these micro's come out of the same factory, what I do not know is how much additional hands on ability a producer, because lets face it, all these guys are just producers, has in the QC end of things. I also think that his pricing is in line with the other micro's. Frankly, the market is saturated at this point and these products all are starting to look the same.

I don't think he had a choice but to produce the watch without a pre-order deposit Gumba...I believe any trust was lost the last time around...![]()

As you say Tony, the guy did complete the watch: I was doubting of it a moment back in the days due to a long pause on the making. Personally, I wish him good luck with this adventure. I´ve always seen his case sides like dust nests etc... It´s a bit too bad that many newcomers on the watch market are targeting the "Roly Sub" look: This design is over-used to death and dust... I´d rather see "new" blood on the line, or other past designs coming back. The easy way is: Ok, let´s make a cheap Sub-Like model with a twist and let all the poor dive-watch lovers come to it with drooling mouthes: It will be a sure sale since everybody loves the Sub design coz there´s nothing that beats it in the whole diver´s watch world... In the name of the father, the son and his R. Sub, he was wearing while walking on the ocean´s waves... Well, I did grow up from the "Sub" design and I guess we are many out there looking for something fresh instead of eating the same cold soup over and over.
