Hi All,
Let me just say that I am one of the fortunate few to own some of Anders' watches. I have the Black Diamond, the Kampschwimmer Sapphire and the Aqua Luna in blue face and steel. They are all head turners - believe me.
My fave is the BD with the thick black strap and eye-catching yellow stitching. There is absolutely n o t h i n g to improve on the watch's aesthetics and killer good looks. I have also seen in person (or is it "in watch") the all black BD (even the crown is black) and it looks even better though. I would have scored it but it would have been a redundant purchase to my first BD with gold crown and gold backplate. Anders has so many other "must buys".
I also have the Kampy and wish to confirm that it has the Cotes d Geneve, and from the see thru case back, you I can 11 blued screws and 5 rubies. It's like seeing the Big Dipper of the night sky. It catches me also as a very faithful homage to a Radiomir. I removed the original black strap and used a camel-colored Dievas strap, which was thicker.
I also have the AL in blue face, which I generally wear on weekends. As I mentioned earlier, this is a heavy, thick, substantial watch thicker even than the usual Ball. Recently, I removed the steel bracelet and fitted it with a black carbon fiber strap with bright and bold orange stitching. Looks more hip now. I just wish a 48mm version gets issued soon.
Ever since I have worn these 3 watches, my luxury watches have taken long, long vacations. Why? Because these are watches that really look good and are not commonly seen.
On the AGP, somehow I don't get attracted to it even if I view it often on the Dievas site. While it is very Bauhaus (per Indulis) in appeal from the minimalist and softer theme, it will be overshadowed by the masculinity and robustness of the BD. Maybe it's a personal choice, but it's not for me.
Lastly on the matter of the caseback, I think having them in steel casebacks would be much better. Also, a deeper water depth rating from the present 3ATMs would surely benefit the watches and their owners. I look forward to that day.
Regards to all.
