Thanks Ian, somehow though I dont think she will buy it... it also makes me wonder what 2008 will look like. The diver you're referring to is a Vostok Amfibia Scuba (russian), internal bezel, Vostok movement, 200m wr...  IanM wrote: Just tell her that they were already there...!

Thanks srh - never seen that one before - its a cracker! I have not been a big fan of Russian watches - but there seems to be a large number of people here who love 'em. I would love to give this one a try. What is your general impression of the Amfibia Scuba - in terms of wearability, reliability and service? I can assure you that there is no Vostok dealer I have heard of in Australia - but I really like that chunk of metal!! Wowee! :shock: IanM

It's actually quite light on the wrist. Rubber strap is comfortable and it keeps good time. The only problem I have had with it, is the internal bezel tends to continue to move when you go to screw down its crown (doesnt fully disengage) - but I learned to compensate the setting for it. I picked this one up from an online German AD at a reasonable price. They have an all orange version as well, but I liked the 'hint' of orange more. ;) IanM wrote: Thanks srh - never seen that one before - its a cracker! Hi srh One of each of the orange/orange and black/hint of orange is on the bay right now. But when the seller says: Automatic Hand winding Shock-proof balance Central second hand Silicate glass Totally wound watch runs not less than 31 hours Average term of use is 10 years 31 ruby jewels Box Certificate Guarantee I agree - yours is MUCH nicer IMHO than the full-blown orange - and much more wearable. Good pick up, good sir! Now where is my Russian dictionary so I can figure out the case dimensions... Cheers! IanM
