everyone Please do not start a panic ....as mentioned above all you have to do is call Fedex....different countries will have different experiences due to their Customs dept. so let's not start any confusion or start thinking the worst scenarios over one persons post.;)

I did call FedEx and followed the above (gave my phone number and a declared value of $50) and was told it was a U.S. Customs issue as I stated, perceived exotic case and a value of $1000 based on the Benarus web site. I was told by FedEx that they need a "updated" invoice form Benarus before the watch is released/clears from customs. I am not trying to cause a panic, just thought I would share info and try to see if anyone else was having the same problem..

Remember all what was said: The megs are shipped in order of them series. Mean that if you got the nr 99 or nr 100, you should be the last guys who receive it... Well, that's how I understood it. So I know that I must be patient with my 73...

I spoke with Ralf early this morning and he said all of the Megs have been shipped within the past 3 days but he was not sure if the factory shipped according to # as started or name by which payments were recieved as many did not pay until the announcement was made that shipping had begun....rest assured you willl all recieve your Megalodons! hand6.gif

I also want to make a note that Fedex released a "bad/inclemant weather delay" on most all shipments in the U.S due to the snow storms many of us are experiencing which include Airport closings and delays due to the weather...:(

I called FedEx as well.  They did not find my address in their system.  I guess we're both on the same boat to nowhere.

Every so often Customs will get bent on a declared value or lack of a declaration. This happened to me when receiving my Precista from the UK recently. I had to have Eddie Platts contact US customs as well as calling at least five times myself. Very sticky and I empathize with your frustration having the watch so close but held in Customs.

Meg #7 checking in.  Mine arrived at work today (US/VA) with no problems.  However, the outer cardboard box was covered with tape that said "OPENED AND RESEALED FOR U.S. FISH AND WILDFILE INSPECTION" (as well as a sticker advising it had cleared US Customs and Border Protection.)  I'm sure this is the sort of thing Steve was referring to when he said he preferred to handle receipt of watches himself instead of having them come from the factory.  I'm sure everything will get sorted out.  :)

Well I got my tracking # from Ralf and it turns out that my watch is stuck in customs limbo.  FedEx apparently doesnt know why its being held nor do they know when its going to be released.  This is not a happy day for me :X

This Customs thing sounds like a nightmare.  It sounds almost like a customs agent locked onto one shipment and then flagged every shipment from that particular address.  Sounds like paranoia but what are the odds of so many watches, out of only 100, being held in customs?
