all this talk makes me want to go dunk my bronze again. Maybe I will add some stuff from the yard into my brew.

I've not used the LoS gel, but am surprised how long it's taking to produce a result. When I rec'd my bronze buckle I heated some water and dissolved some rocks in it, submerged the buckle and before long it was nearly black. When treating the 1500b I prepared the solution and applied it with a cotton swab. The reaction was instant, and continued until neutralized with baking soda & water. I reapplied a few weeks later with room temperature water and the result was nearly the same. I've not treated it in several weeks (10/03/2011 pics below). If anyone has a bead or craft store nearby, check to see if they have the chunks (rocks). They're only $6 at the shop near my house, which is <1/3 the cost of the gel.

I am just keeping my fingers crossed mine hasn't got lost in the post. It's now day ten since it was sent. I COULD have sailed across the Pacific and picked it up in person by now. I have no patience.
