I got my blue dial last week. Again, 48 hours from order to in my hands. Amazing! I was a little surprised at how tall it sat on my wrist. Despite the dimensions, it definitely wears large. It would need some patina before I would feel comfortable wearing it.

So I ordered some liver of sulfur rocks from Cool Tools along with some polishing cloths. This was the second treatment. The first time I polished nearly all the patina off and I wasn't happy with the look. This time, I just hit the high spots with the lowest grit cloth to brighten it up. The pictures make it look darker than it is. I am ecstatic with the results.

Thanks Oscar! The patina has since rubbed off some in wear spots, giving a very nice natural look. I will post some updated pictures in the future, but I am on the road for a couple weeks, and I left the Armida at home.

Did you use a silver polishing cloth to restore the watch to it's original condition?

This is one of the reasons why I enjoy owning bronze watches, it's fun to experiment and build the patina ThumbsUp02.gif

Not exactly to original. I discovered that I can polish off much of the patina, and after only a days exposure to a humid environment it comes back very dark again. So it is fun to see how it will develop day to day like this.
