Selling my Mido Multistar who's a new-old-stock from the 70's.
This watch been sleeping in a jeweler's safe in Texas the last 30-40 years and been sold to me something like 2 years ago.
The automatic movement been cleaned/serviced from it's original dried-up oil and the crown gasket been replaced as the original one was falling appart after long drying time as you can guess.
The bracelet is original, the back sticker is still there(that's not often!) and witness that the watch never been worn: This is not a "used unused" NOS, it's the real deal.
I had it on the wrist for maybe 2 minutes and locked it in my safe since then.
2 minutes was enough to find out that it was looking way too little on me...
Some data: Case is 36mm wide S.steel, case back is screwed, tritium lume dots still working but don't give you sun-burns, crystal is plexiglass(clean as it was slightly buffed 2 years ago to eliminate hairlines from storage), blue sun-burst dial.
The clean 17 jewels movement has flare spokes on the balance, blue screw on the ball-bearing rotor axis, incabloc shock protection and never been rusted anywhere.
Date is set by pushing the crown.
I've never been timing it but the jeweler who cleaned it has certainly controled it: It starts as it's first day.
No dent, scratch, ding: Very clean for it's age!
Only few tiny needle-spots on the dial certainly due to the fact that the crown gasket was dried...
The watch is boxed, ready to ship.
I ask 350$: This include the most expensive shipping from north Norway to anywhere in the world with tracking number and signed delivery.
Payment by Paypal, shipping after payment.
I've never seen this model anywhere...Seems to be rare by now and hard to find in better condition.
Sorry for the reflects on the crystal and finger prints: The watch will be sent clean in a Mido box, who seems to be from 70-80's.
Contact me by PM!
Thanks for looking
William.
