Hucky, you did right by protecting your dog. I agree with Ken, I would have filed a report. This dog probably has attacked before if it sensed your dog was insecure. I would have wanted to know if it had all its shots also. Irresponsible pet owners really piss me off. We have neighbors down the road that leave their dogs run free and they come up here and eat my outside dogs food. So I call the dog catcher. Whenever the guy goes past my place and I am out he gives me the finger. I just smile at him.
So just go and have fun with Enzo. Dont feel bad about what happened, as you had nothing to apologize for. BTW, he looks awesome! Now, go make some great memories with that new pup!
