I hear you on the cheap thing.
I use a timer on the one I have so that it shuts off after a period of time. Has worked well for me for the past several years.
That is good. You do want to allow for rest time with automatic watches. Continual winding really can damage them. I have some Orbita and a few others can't think of the brand that are also programable but I bought the last 4 the guy had and he has no more. :D LOL Nice quite and like prograbable setup to the Orbita. And I have some cheep 8 slot winders my Seikos, Alba's and Russians are on with a timer were I run them twice a day for an hour. Setup works fine. ;)
