Sorry, no experience with water resistance, but I would not try to ruin that nice strap by going diving or even into the shower with it. I am pretty sure it will handle it for a while, but in the end the water will harm the leather, for sure.
You were talking about the strap, not the watch, or ;)? The watch itself is by 100% bullet- and waterproof :D!
