Thanks for the heads up, Kenhand6.gif

Ya gotta understand that I am flying pretty blind here. Perth isn't exactly known as the leather strap capitol of the world. Ah well - we have nice beaches... and I did interview a client the other day that has a mild interest in watches. That makes two of us in the two million people in this state! I'm hoping to continue to share the sickness with my WIS buddies here - cos its awful lonely otherwise...

Our one Panerai AD here has landed a black stitched black ostrich 24/24 mm strap for another customer, and I am off to the city tomorrow to "inspect" it (I will sneak a moment trying it on, but not doing it up).  I reckon you can tell immediately whether the strap is going to be a keeper or a curiosity piece. And at Panerai OEM prices (OUCH!!) - I think that Micah (still don't know if he has a website??), Red12 and a few others are actually pretty good value.  Don't know much about Strap Culture, but I notice that they have a 15%-off special at the moment thru the paneristi site. And about 180 strap photos to drool over - there are some nice looking straps there.

Pigskin, huh?  Hmmm...  I've got a friend with a pig farm about 300 kilometres from here...   must give him a call...   ;). Which part of the pig should I ask for?? subtlelaugh.gif. And Ken - I have seen pigskin used in a coupla straps here, but the natural colour doesn't do it for me. I will keep an eye out and see if there are any pigskin alternatives - good suggestion, thanks!
