Okay, after seeing all these nice pieces that every has arriving...I know I'm a rogue here ;).

I had been wanting an aviator style watch for awhile, and thought I'd try out a Timex to see how I like them.  I know what some of you are thinking: "What ?!?! A Timex...why would he do that?"  Heh heh...well, when the watch budget equals a dinner...that's how hand6.gif.  And I like being able to read watches at night...

So, found a used one with a Di Modell Rallye, and thought I'd try it.  It has an interesting mix of polished and brushed surfaces.  100m WR, and an Indiglo dial (very nice for nighttime viewing/timing).  In fact, there is a 'night mode' one can turn on, where any time a button is pushed (for instance, the start/stop or the reset pusher) it will light the dial for 2-3 seconds...very cool.

The Indiglo turns out to be dark blue at night...easy on the dark-adjusted eyes.  I wonder how they do that :?.  It's also unusual for me (after being so used to dials and digitals) that the seconds hand is quite subtle.  I'm so used to seeing sweeping seconds hands with lume tips or big digits counting away time :D.  I kind of like having an option where I don't see the seconds and just see the hour/minute time.

It has way more presence than I thought it would too.  It's got a couple of light marks around the bezel...so I shall see how good I am at polishing tonight ;).

And sorry about the 2nd pic.  I was trying to show the blue color of the backlight.  If you look at the image on your screen at a steep angle, you should be able to see the blue color.  I know, I know...I need improvment :P.
