hello everyone. i'm new to the forum (well, as a poster i am), so i thought i'd say hello. i'm not really sure what to say, so i'll just be brief. i'm thin-wristed but shuffle papers all day long at work -- fighting for truth, justice, the texas way, and preserving competition law. (anyone who can guess my job wins... something, likely just kudos though.)

i used to drag my girlfriend -- now wife -- to watch stores to drool over the offerings, but she stopped letting me do that years and years ago, so now my prurient delights must be satisfied with forums like this.

my collection of watches is all in the "affordable" spectrum, with a bent toward swatches. i can't help myself. they're fun. i have 2 nixons, one old omega seamaster ('50s vintage), a basic tag heuer i got for my bar mitzvah nearly 20 years ago, and about a dozen swatches. my swatch collection grows slowly, since i only get a new swatch when we travel to cities with swatch stores (airports don't count, except twice). my most entertaining swatch is called the "bunny sutra": it's got two rabbits in different positions at each hour marker. you tap the 12 o'clock position on the crystal, the hands come together up there and then spin until they land on a spot. it's funny. i wore it to work once and then thought better.

that's all i'm willing to divulge at the moment.

(oh, and that's not me in the picture. i'm not that good looking.)
