 If you like that look check out sailcloth straps too. Very nice look, light weight, comfortable and long lasting.

Kevlar is sweet but is stuff to begin with but is very durable. The MarTec style straps like you have there are very nice too. Quick and easy to install and wear. Nylon straps are not to bad either and very affordable.
