 As always no birthday in the family is complete without what my kids call "days of celebration". Today we had a party for Kira's birthday and this has sort of become a neighborhood cook-out with other mischief to be be had. My genius wife thought a water balloon toss followed by an all out squirt tube fight would be a good way to cap off Kira's B-day party. It sure was... no photography was permitted as this quickly became a wet t-shirt contest for the neighborhood moms! toon1.gif My wife is bloody brilliant and she doesn't even know it! :D

Plenty of brats, burgers and dogs as I manned the grill. Kira had a great time. We all ended up soaked! Unfortunately the sun hid today and we even had some light showers but that didn't stop us...

Kira and her cousin Sophie (Sophia). Sophie is 20 days older than Kira.



My son James and his cousin William (bushy hair) and Nicholas. Nicholas is 7 weeks older than James. William is named for my late grandfather.



Kira kicked major butt in the sack race and won her heat despite a major wipe out which she popped up from and finished!
