Do you still collect knives Ken? I do and it's another of my many weaknesses.
Mike Stewart of Bark River Knives and Tools makes some very fine knives (stock removal) and he has sponsored a deal whereby forum members would chip in and buy a knife for troops in the sandbox. Mike charges members just his cost. Forum members equipped a Marine Recon unit through this program. Pretty neat.
No...gave it up after Vietnam...sort of lost interest in hunting and camping after that. I had had my share of sleeping on the ground, eating outside, and....hunting something that didn't hunt back was kind of boring! :D ...although I still have my Randalls and a few of the Bucks (which also used to be all hand forged)!
