I have a give a big thanks to 3T stalwart and Bond brief wearing madman Ablejack for the heads up in this one. thanks also to Oscar for jarring my memory with his excellent pix and passing thought of selling his watch.

Most will know the watch. Offered via pre-order at Watchbuys I felt it a bit rich for my blood and didn't pull the trigger. I was then further debased when the watch sold out in hors if I recall correctly. Kinda forgot about it until recently when O posted up.

What can I say? For me this is a very special watch and my first Stowa. The watch is simply flawless. The beautiful enamel dial and blued hands are the very definition of understatement. What an outstandingly beautiful movement! I've gone so far as to mimic my mentor by ordering the gray ostrich strap which I think just looks tops. The supplied strap is going to be worn as I am certain this is staying in my stable for a long time. this is too solid a timepiece to be a hangar queen.

I picked this up this morning from the P.O. and it was funny when my colleagues saw it. My female office mate who I think has pretty darn good taste actually said, that watch speaks to me". this from a non-WIS who is slowly slipping into WISness. (She bought her significant other a Red October after I showed her it in one of the newsletters) My CT surgeon buddy who just recently picked up a PAM98 was a bit dumbfounded too. He said it wasn't like anything he normally sees me wearing. Other said it was plain. Well, its funny how everyone has a different perception about the watch and that they are all semi-infected enough to have an opinion.

I have a sense my tastes are changing a bit and I am semi-helpless to resisting a handcranking timepiece. Combine that with the classic beauty, exquisite craftsmanship and exclusivity this timepiece provides and you have one ecstatic WIS. A little off the beaten path imho.

Thanks for having a look! I am heading to CJ's in a bit to share the joy!
