Historically speaking, Omega watches were worn by the British Military during WW II. So, it was only fitting for the James Bond character that Ian Flemming created to be wearing the Omega. The Rolex Submariner used in the 1960's Bond films was owned by the Producer Albert R. Broccoli. However, Ian Flemming never specified what type of watch Bond had in his possession this is according to the novels,which I've read as a teenager, in the 1980's.
