Sad thing is Jim knows exactly what he's doing. . ..Eyeore does not have the luxury of a working fore-brain so his antics can at least be understood if not excused. Jim has made the choice to sell watches and be a demi celebrity for as long as he can make it last...If that means he has to whore it up with a jackass, well that's what it means...
Nothing worng with selling watches. It's a cool gig. However, to employ a cheesy style in the process...well, that's wrong. :P
I guess sales in general requires the antics of a used car salesman. I would perhaps go a less blatant/obvious route.
