Thanks men - I wasn't aware of the history or the rarity. Might have to look at one "in the flesh" one day and see what theya re really like ... Pax - I see your point about it being off the beaten path. Looks ike it might be a good long termer - by which I mean it will hold soem of its value. break3 - I will look that model up and try to become a bit more familiar with the brand - thanks for pointing me to something I can actually research! Goofy - it is exactly that "look" that got me, too. Kinda similar to the Zinex Nitrox yellowed lume approach to watchmaking. I like it. Shady - you're probably right. On an item like that, the box and papers would lilkely make a big difference to the resale if you ever got sick of it or found another grail... and another Panerai of that SuperOcean Heritage would be an all-time classic with more broad appeal to the secondary market IMHO. And Skip - I haven't seen any of their other models. Any you can post a link to so we can share? Cheers, men!
