I recently took delivery of a gently pre-owned Stowa Prodiver with the black dial and orange minute/sec hands. The build quality was immediately evident as I held it in my hand. The dial and bezel markings are supremely crisp, the machining on the Fricker case and bezel is amazing. The design is elegant and efficient. The lume is incredible. The supplied strap and bracelet are both great. It does everything a dive watch should, and does it all with masterful precision.
But when I look over to see it nestled securely on my wrist, I feel nothing. There's something cold and impersonal about it. There's no connection.
I feel funny even writing that. I mean, a watch is machine right?
Anyway, I've been wearing the PD all week, hoping that one of these times when I steal a glance, that it'll wink back at me. But it just sits there, second hand gliding around in consecutively perfect circles, oblivious to anything but its singular job -- measuring time.
So have I lost my mind? I KNOW the PD is a great watch, so why don't I love it?
Dont stress over it..send it to me:D Seriously, not every watch is for every person, might be the squarish case...Dial etc that your not meshing with. Take your avatar...I've owned a few Sea Anglers..great watch, popular etc...sold both of mine, they left me cold:?
