Hey guys, back from the "living dead", and thanks for all the kind thoughts, my vision is finally back good enough to see the computer snoopy1.gif.....

The surgery went fine, prognosis is great, what really sucked was the recovery....during the surgery they put a gas bubble in the eye that acts as a splint to keep the reattached retina in place to heal...the bad part is for 10 days I had to keep my nose pointed to the floor 24 hours a day so the bubble was in the correct place all the time....NOT FUN!!!   I'm legally blind in the other eye so I wasn't even able to sit in a chair with my head down and read....so I basically listened to TV for two weeks...again NOT FUN!!

On the positive side all looks good and when you think of the alternative of permanent blindness a couple weeks of being uncomfortable is not so bad.
