Hi everyone! I’ve been a member for a while, but it’s taken me this long to post my Intro because I've been too chicken!! I have to admit when I first joined, I had no idea this forum was made of such a high percentage of men, or so it seemed. In fact at first, I was terrified that someone would find out I was a woman! (until recently when I changed my avatar and posted my pic.) As time went on, I found more and more feminine usernames, so I know there are more of us here. And the more posts I read, the more comfortable I felt. Everyone here is so friendly! I first began collecting almost five years ago when I started watching a TV watch show, hosted by our own TT. Little by little I started becoming intrigued by the nuances of what makes a watch “tick”! I became fascinated by the cool complications that unfortunately, are generally found only in men’s watches. Although they still mesmerize me, and I do have a few, the majority of my watches are women's. I do appreciate the aesthetics, very much, but they don’t have those awesome complications I’m almost envious of. I understand that ladies’ watches, having smaller movements, make them much more difficult to build. Plus, the market is much more limited as well. Maybe one day ... ahhh, to dream! Anyway, if any of you guys have any questions or need advice on women’s watches, preferences, etc. please feel free to ask at any time. I’m always happy to help. I’d like to close with a special note to the rest of the fairer sex members – I encourage you to please join me and post your Intros. Since “coming out of the gender closet”, so to speak, by posting my pic in the “Putting a face to the member” thread in the OT forum and changing my avatar, I received several warm PMs from some very nice and encouraging members. The guys here are awesome! (but you already know that!) So please join me so I don’t feel so lonely!!!
