The guys over on a Russian watch forum were freaking out about this one.  I personally don't have a problem with it, and glad that V-E used the OS22 instead of the OS10 which is used by a lot of other companies and isn't nearly as nice a movement.
When these first came up, I made a comparison with a quintessential American watch company, Bulova.  Bulova was made in the US, then started outsourcing for Swiss movements, and now is owned by Citizen.  As long as they make a nice watch for the money I'll take a look.  When I mentioned I owned a Poljot with an ETA 2824 there were some grumpy comments.  It happens to be one of my favorite smaller divers and just looks "Russian" to me, but because it doesn't have a Russian movement it wasn't considered "pure".  Oh well, I buy because I like, not for purity :P

I just hope V-E fixed the screw down crown issue.  I still am afraid to wear my Rocket auto too often since I already had to have the crown tube replaced once.

Cheers,
Griff
