Well Omega is part of Swatch group so as such they do have access to movements and movement research first. They also have a larger marketing and distibution budget. Oris makes a very good watch as does Omega. I'm not sure that for the bulk of production their is any substantial difference in quality. I think Oris is a much better value. Just my 2 cents
