2 things always make sense in my house. One: the uniqueness of the timepiece in question and how it differs from others and adds to my collection. Two: Carpe Diem! I've missed out on watches in the past and expressed much dismay about not seizing the opportunity when they came up (add lots of moping and tears). Now granted I do make a mental concious effort to cool the buying for a couple of months but all the same...don't pass up an opportunity if it'll make you miserable later (sell that part, girls hate a miserable guy around). It's also a good idea to sell your girl on your hobby by indirectly getting her into it as well. The suggestion to buy her one too is a GREAT idea that can blossom into a secondary hobby. Christmas is coming after all and Santa brings things for all good girls and boys
