I have to slip my 2 cents in here. I'm married, so there's a little difference with the original poster situation and mine. I don't own a ton of watches like some folks here, and I've only recently started buying some, but I have a long time interest in swiss watches since my father came home beaming from a business trip in Zurich in 1968 sporting a plain jane ultra thin Bucherer. Now, I do have to explain or sell my wife a little on this watch buying past time. The most effective way and how I sold her on the Omega I recently purchased was to simply say..." honey, 10 years from now, if you wore it every day and then ran the Seamaster over with a truck.... you'ld still get $1000.00 dollars for it, it's money in the bank":cool:....it worked and dare I say with very little resistance.;)
