Personally I think the O7 brand has lost a bit of its initial luster. You'll find a number of them continuously up for sale on the secondary market. They don't seem to be "keepers" for many WIS. Without a doubt, the brand has its fans which inhabit an insular world known as the O7 Official forum where the moderation is a bit heavy handed and any questioning is frowned upon. Their designs are derivative with the ultimate being an outright homage to the legendary Omega.

As I've discussed with several WIS, this particular project is a microcosm of the company' woes imho. An outright homage albeit with the same old O7 dial, which took far too ling from conception to completion. While the watch appeared well built the strap was poorly finished and needed filing or brute force to be squeezed onto the watch head and its construction seemed hinky, and in one case I know of personally, the extra bezel lock button was haphazardly tossed into the watch box, left free to jump around during shipping and become chipped. Now this after waiting over a year for this watch to appear and being chastised if ever asking for an update. To me this is not the way to develop strong vendor/customer relations. So as David pointed out above, if you've got a Mission statement, best to live up to it.

That being said I do own an O7 though really its nothing more than a re-dialed and casebacked Steinhart. Does that still count?

O7 has a lot of potential but seems just a bit out of touch. They need look no further than their own Mission Statement for guidance.
