Guess I am one of the lucky ones. I ordered my LM-7 with an initial deposit, waited the full term, and then changed my mind about the blue sunburst dial and went with a black (matte) dial version. Everything about the build and timekeeping of the watch is so far very good, IMHO. Delivered quickly in a tough wooden box, my red bezel lock button was separately packed, as were the OEM rubber strap, cards and instructions. I have used neither the red button nor the rubber strap, because I prefer the plain SS bezel lock. I put it on an Omega mesh bracelet (don't care about the clash of brands - the mesh is supremely comfy), changed out occasionally with a Hadley Roma big heavy. I can see the other points of view, but apart from the frustration of waiting a long time for the watch, I actually WANTED a watch that reminded me of my old Ploprof, and this was the best of the bunch I could find. It is no Omega, I can assure you, but it is tough, solid, works flawlessly, and is just a few seconds out since I have owned it. In the flesh, the dial graphics and lume will be a source of pleasure for many, I reckon. Nobody I speak to has any idea of the Omega connection that we WIS take so seriously. To most, it is just an interesting take on a dive watch by a small company in the US called Ocean7. I will never claim it to be what it is not. With absolutely no disrecpect meant - you vote for or against such manufacturers with your wallet. I may never buy another Ocean7 watch in my lifetime. But my experience so far is not so bad that I would never look at their products again. Just a question which is almost off-topic - is it the opinion of all that every fricker cased diver is a copy of the others? I am just trying to get a handle on why it is that this particular O7 raises so many hackles, but many variants of watch using the same case and sold by different "assemblers" does not? No biggie - have a great day, 3T!! IanM hand6.gif
