You say a size 10 or 16.  What determines this number?  I know you say its the size of the movement but what does the # represent.  You say a 10 is a 38mm so i would think that number of each increment (I called points)  in size would equal 3.8mm.... 10x3.8=38mm.  That doesnt work though, the 16 would be a 16x3.8=60.8mm.  Do you understand what I am asking? 

Absolutely understand now, i always thought it was an arbitrary number, but it looks like there is an actual formula involved...
