Good Question Bill ! Last Year there was someone Who did a Lume comparison between several popular Watches on WUS...unfortunately that is all lost since WUS crashed There are several different types of Luminosity...Tritium,Super Luminova, and Glow Tubes..among I'm sure many others :P So Far I have had MY Seiko Monsters last @ 6Hrs. on a charge,as well as My Timefactors Broadarrow...The Ball Timepieces with Glow Tubes Boast a Much Longer Lume Life as Well as the Tag Aquagraph which claims 8hrs.....I believe the Test that was Done on WUS had a Watch that over a 12 hr. period still had a Nice Lume...Maybe someone else remembers here ? I can say though that the Seikos Monsters have been among the Brightest..so if You are getting between 4-6hrs on a Sunlight charge You are doing pretty good...I have some that peter out after a few minutes:P:PMaybe EricA , JohnnyP,or Cheeps have some input Guys,
I apologize for the basic and perhaps stupid question but I couldn't find anything on a search.
When watches are described as having a "good lume" what exactly does that mean.?
a) lasts for 4 hrs after being in the sun all day?
b) lasts 6 hrs?
c) you're right, that is a stupid question :)
thanks as always boys
