Well, Easter is a time for giving.  And since I'm a self confessed hedonist, I got me a little something for Easter:

Yep, the DSSD made its way into my collection!  I have been considering buying this ever since I first lay my eyes on one.  This really is the beast!  I simply couldn't resist the deal that was offered to me by the dealer - seems like there are really good deals to be had out there right now! I paid about 25% below retail.. Quite unheard of, unless you buy on the net.

I'm not going to try to give any fancy review on the watch - everything has been said in numerous reviews posted all over the forums.  I think you either hate it or love it. Period.

I love the sheer weight / bulk of this piece. The bracelet is just wonderful - being infinitely adjustable at the flick of a lever, with a diving extension.  Only a pity Rolex didn't go beyond 20mm for this bracelet - it looks a bit narrow for this beast.

The domed crystal puts it in a class of its own, and I love the fact that the cyclops is absent.

The fact that some design features and the brand name are advertised on a ring below the bezel put some people off, but I find it discreet enough to live with.

This brings my Rolex sportwatch collection up to 5.  Which reminds me that I should start wearing them..... I only really wear my GMTII occasionally.

This aquisition is a paradigm shift for me.  This one will not stay in the box, that's for sure!woohoo.gif

And before anyone asks:  Here is a lume shot.  On the right is a Seiko orange Monster for comparison.
