I told a good friend of mine I was looking for some pocket watches to make into a homage wrist watch.  He has boxes of them.  He called me today and told me to stop by.  He had about 20 laid out on a table for me.  I chose 4.  He just let me have them.  He showed me some really nice ones also that he wasnt willing to let go of.  So, now I want to try to make my own watches.  These are all 38mm movements except 1 is a 40mm.  Chris(OldCrow) has given me some pointers.  If anyone else would like to give some guidance I am all ears.  I want to do 45mm or 47mm cases.  Panny and Radiomir style cases are what I am looking at. I want sterile dials also.  Maybe a sandwich.  So again, and pointers are greatly appreciated.  I want to do as much by myself.

First is an Illinois, about 40mm movement

Next is an Elgin about 38mm movement

Third is an H. H. W. Co. President  38mm movement  Says Terrasse Watch Co. on movement and Swiss.  This works well and is quite a nice watch.

Fianlly, a Hamilton.  Another really nice watch.  38mm movement that works well.

I am going to order some tools and such.  I figure if I can rebuild an automatic transmission, I should be able to this with the guidance from the fine fellas here at 3T and a little luck.
