Graham, I think it's a watch with a notable design. It might have been a prototype years ago and was eventually sold. But I looked very closely at the 3rd dial (the dummy) and somehow I think the hand was removed and never got replaced. I think, we can only be certain if the watch were taken down. I'd suggest you take the watch to the spa and have a hand installed in that. It's a very nice watch to keep particularly because it tells good time.
