That reminds me of my Endura chrono that I got from my grandmother back in 1971. It has a Swiss 1 jewel pin lever movement by "R. Lapanouse" , but with two pushers. The bottom starts the seconds sweep, the top stops it, there is no reset. The subdials move with the rest of the movement. I still have it, and amazingly it is in decent shape but seriously needs cleaning. It will run for a little while then stop. I haven't been able to find any watchmaker willing to look at it. "Can't get parts" is the same refrain, though I know it just needs a cleaning to remove 38 years of dirt! Our local watchmaker's father replaced the crystal on it 30 years ago, but he won't touch it either :X The pic isn't mine, but it is identical to the watch in the middle. There are two Cimier branded ones on the 'Bay right now. Cheers. Griff Here's a pic of a similar movement on Ranfft: http://www.ranfft.de/cgi-bin/bidfun-db.cgi?10&ranfft&83&2uswk&Rego_144 Attachment: Endura.jpg (Downloaded 131 times) Last edited on Fri May 22nd, 2009 01:14 am by zippofan |
