Agree with Skip - I'd probably drop out the Oris & the Fortis if you're thinking long-term/heirloom. The Doxa is cool, would be my choice but I'm a dive nut, & it's less classical than the Longines. You might also look at the Longines Legend diver, which would blend the two ideas. If you're looking for slightly less expensive diver alternative to the Doxa, you might look at Stowa... thought of it just because I'm wearing one today, but they are rock-solid, vintage sensibilities, and priced around $1k.
