Hey wardog, I've been living with my Seastar 1000 for about a week and a half (worn it everyday since receiving it). Read some of the comments that you noted regarding bezels and stripped crowns prior to my purchase, but bought anyway. The bezel on my Seastar is absolutely rock solid (very precise 60 clicks). Because of what I had read on some watch forums about the crown, I've been fairly careful when screwing mine in (ie. I'm careful to make sure that I don't force or cross-thread when screwing the crown back in). The crown feels different than some of my other watches, but I haven't had any issues...it really almost screws itself in once you push the crown in to the inner-most position. I was fortunate enough to get the steel bracelet and rubber strap with mine, although so far it is living on the steel bracelet which I think looks fantastic. Bottom line, I really, really like my Seastar 1000 (unique designed bezel, domed inner AR coated sapphire crystal, unique brushed/polished case, nice "porthole" display caseback with 300m water resistance to boot, nice presence on the wrist). I plan to keep this one, and would recommend one without hesitation. You can see my initial impressions along with some pics of mine here under the New Arrivals section here at 3T (see link below): http://timetechtalk.com/view_topic.php?id=16598&forum_id=2
