I guess it was over torqued at the manufacture, i had no problem at all changing my strap. Oscar, since you seems to have a lot of experience with watches (and a crazy collection :shock:) what do you mean by "that's what happens when you don't tape off the screws 1st..." I guess you have a trick not to damage the lugs or the screws? I usually don't have problems changing strap but i'm always open to new ideas and tricks. Thanks for sharing!hand6.gif Daniel
