Chris -- I like the look of nice dome crystal like classic Rolex Sub that rises above the bezel... and while the crystal might protect the bezel, the crystal is then exposed to impact and scratches. The crystal on my friends Rolex is really sbeat up, but it could acrylic? I think ideally, it would great to have a dome that rises up over the inner edge of the bezel for the vintage look, and then have the outer edge of the bezel raised to protect the crystal...Seiko Monster has that profile, and perhaps the Ocean7 LM-3?
