Timex timepieces are very well-built and provide superior value viz-a-vis price and features. Their Indiglo line was a great hit --- very reachable and very functional. They tried the Carriage line but it flopped commercially. The newer Timex high end line shown on the link you supplied is a line that is sort of limited and not made in the millions or hundreds of thousands. It's their attempt at joining the up-to-the minute style craze for watches. This I heard from a friend who used to workwith Timex.

Personally, I like their designs, which I think they sub-contract to external design houses. But I am not a quartz guy so I don't follow the brand. I grew up on a Timex quartz from the age of about 12 to 17 and that watch took all the beatings it could get.
