Okay ... got bit by the bug. I'm going to save for this, but I was looking for an understated watch from a good brand that is a little bit exclusive. It has to be both a watch you can wear when dressed up, as well as with jeans (though not Tag Heuer, Omega, Rolex, Breitling ... those are too well known).

As this is mostly going to be a little bit formal, I don't mind if it has a "name" as this will be part of its purpose, but mostly amongst "watch people" (also unrecognizable enough to make most replica people not to bother)- the company can be big or small - does not matter to me, though I do lean towards well respected boutique operations in other things (like audio electronics).

I liked what I saw at Marcel Lacroix (though I have no idea what sort of "name" it is) - and I liked a Panerai Radiomir, though that could be on the verge of too well known given the amount of fakes out there?

I am normally *not* a label person, but this is one time I'd like to see what everyone could come up with.

Oh, one last thing - I'd prefer it not to be "limited edition" or "limited run" because it could take me awhile to save up for this puppy and I'd hate to set sights on something that turns out to be "unobtainium" by the time I am ready.

I expect to go to NYC in the next month, and I'll likely go watch window-shopping - so any suggestions for watch stores would be most appreciated as well!

THANKS in Advance!! thankyou.gif
