A Rolex is worth every $ spent on it. In the beginning, I too had some doubts about the watches but as I had the chance to compare them with many others, I lost my cynicism. I have already had so many watches and still nothing comes close to the Rolex accuracy, reliability, virtual indestructibility, unsurpassed re-sale prices, collectibility value and all the nice things one can say about watches. In a man's world, a Rolex watch is currency. They are just so darned tough and a joy to own. The Tudor is also very good but if you notice, it's design has to be a little racier to attract some attention from it's more accomplished elder brother. The market is always perfect and if Tudor attempts to bridge the price gap, the discerning buyer will rather move up the scale and meet his satisfaction. Rolex does not use simple stainless steel. It has its own proprietary process perfected in its own in-house foundry and this has proven to be truly resistant to scratches, dings, dimples and bumps. Again, I can be credible because I have been able to compare first hand. If I were to just turn into a hermit and live in a cave with just one watch till the end of my days, without doubt it would be a Rolex.;)
