UPDATE!

Brought the Sea Angler to my watch guy.  He opened it, cleaned the contacts, checked the battery, put it back together with same battery and it works FINE!

His comments:  As you guys mentioned:  "When you pulled the crown out to save the battery (which he, too, agreed is insignificant!) it let in some moisture (I AM in the middle of a SWAMP!  He actually said that!) and the contacts were affected.  The battery in the watch is good....I expect it will last 5 years."

So, I will NEVER pull the crown out to save a battery again.  (And to think, I was going to do that to my Quartz Omega Bond!  The Horror!!

So, all is well on the bayou!  I have the watch on now, and am enjoying every minute of it. 

By the way, a BaliHa'i orange rubber strap matches the dial PERFECTLY!!
