Seiko Spring Drive?
JKang, the Seiko Springdrive is a mechanical automatic movement. It doesn't have a battery (even if it uses electronic components). They replaced the mechanical escapement by a very complex system that i will not explain here because far too complex for me.
It's the most precise mechanical movement in existance today at +- 15 sec a month! This was really a 'Quiet Revolution' like they say at Seiko. This is part of the reason why these watches retails in the $4000-$7000 range :shock:. The Seiko SpringDrive Marine Master is really a masterpiece IMOH.
